"Being a Loner is Usually Best"

The golden rule has been trashed
All alone I stand in protest
Face it, the world is full of unrest
Wars, Genocide, Hatred manifest
Evil prevails, Goodness suppressed
Malevolence rules, humans digressed
Seems a little hopeless I must confess

Being a loner is usually best
Evil fools you, lies expressed
Intentions you misunderstood
Becoming a victim of theft
All your innocence they took
Being a loner is almost always best
Alone is so much easier to digest

No one will ever treat you As good as you could
No one will ever know you As well as you should
Must pass all the tests, prove you are good
Until then I will Refuse to allow anyone Near
Because Being a loner is almost always best
You will always know you better than the rest
Finding a truer friend, you'd be hard pressed

Being a loner is usually best
Alone You are your own BFF
Which is better than all the contest
No need to put the friendship to the test
When you love yourself you are at rest
Content, Happy and Blessed.

Being a loner is usually best
Alone don't require a bulletproof vest
To protect your heart from cardiac arrest
No drama to get you all stressed
No one around so no need to impress
Therefore why bother getting dressed

Being a loner is usually best
Letting people in is risking mental duress
Deceive until they receive all you possess
Charm you, blind you, make you fall
Slice you to your core, leave you torn
And as naked as the day you were born

Being a loner is usually best
Malicious ones chew you up and spit you out
Treating you like a vile pest, best without
Stealing your radiant glow without a doubt
They abandon you, taking your self worth
Leave you wishing to crawl into mother earth

Quote of the Day:
If you’re looking for friends when you need them…it’s too late.
